Welcome to the Wahpeton Leach Public Library

The Leach Public Library has been providing library services since April 8, 1924.  In 2009, we celebrated our 85th year of continuous service to our community! Our lovely building is on the Register of Historic Buildings and although much appears unchanged, improvements have been made to exist and thrive in the 21st century.

The Library is accessible to all levels via the west entrance.  A lift near the door allows visitors and patrons to access the children's library in the lowest level and the adult and teen libraries on the top level. The Leach Public Library is proud to provide a wide variety of services free of charge to the public.

The Library is free to residents of Richland County and all Lake Agassiz Regional Library patrons.  Anyone living outside our service area may obtain a library card for $10.00 for two years. Some form of identification with current address is required when a library card is requested.

Thank You for visiting our site!
